How can I register?
Sidwell Summer has an online registration – click on the Register Now link at the top of the page to get started! Programming is first come, first serve. Once you complete the registration you are enrolled in Sidwell Summer programming!
Do you offer financial assistance?
Yes! If you are interested in learning more about the program or applying for Sponsorship, please visit the Sponsorship page. The Sponsorship application is available for a set period of time. Do not register for camp if you would like to be considered for financial sponsorship.
For Summer Studies courses, financial assistance may be available to Sidwell Friends School students who receive financial aid during the regular school year. A written request for aid is required.
What is your refund policy?
Summer 2025: As space is limited, we want you to feel confident registering so programming can be moved, but not cancelled.
Any cancellations made by Sidwell Summer will be fully refunded.
A non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration for all programs.
Prior to May 1: All fees, less the deposits are refundable.
May 1 and After: Payment is due in full, at which point all fees are non-refundable.
*Changes may be made up to one week prior to programming at no charge, so long as the total number of sessions remains the same or is increased.
Cancellations by participants due to illness (COVID-19 or otherwise) will not be refunded.
*Payments lost due to withdrawal from a program cannot be forwarded to the next year’s programs or to a sibling’s account. Any deposit or payment lost due to withdrawal from a program will be contributed to Sidwell Summer’s Sponsorship Program.

Extended Day - Offered! Program running from 3:00-5:00 PM - weekly registration required. Select Extended Day at the time of registration or email us (summer@sidwell.edu) to have Extended Day added to your child(ren)’s account. *Subject to availability.
Bethesda Campus -
Early Risers - Not Offered
Extended Day - Not Offered
All Bethesda Campus programs will end at the end time listed on the website.
Are you closed for holidays in the summer?
Yes, Sidwell Summer observes both Juneteenth and Independence Day.
Summer 2025: Sidwell Summer will NOT run programming on the following days:
Thursday, June 19
Friday, July 4
*Program fees are pro-rated to reflect the shorten week(s).
What are the snack & lunch options?
Summer 2025:
Full Day campers should bring snack, bagged lunch, and water bottle everyday. There is NO option to purchase snacks or lunch on campus.
AM Only campers should bring a snack and water bottle every day. There is NO option to purchase snacks on campus.
Is Sidwell Summer nut free?
No, our programs and campuses are not nut free. Please contact Sidwell Summer with any questions or concerns regarding allergies - summer@sidwell.edu.
Is Sidwell Summer open to participants who don't attend Sidwell Friends?
Yes! The majority of Sidwell Summer participants don't attend Sidwell Friends School during the school year. We welcome all to join us in the summer!
What medical forms do you require?
For a DC Campus program:
All mandatory medical information is captured through the online application*.
For a Bethesda Campus program:
If your child lives outside the United States or US Territories, the Immunization Form must be completed and submitted prior to the first day of camp. Per State of Maryland Law, your child will not be permitted to attend programs without the completed form on file*.
*We do not require any additional forms unless your child will need to take any prescription medications or has an allergy, asthma, or any other medical condition (i.e. diabetes, epilepsy), we will need the relevant Action Plan. You can find these forms on our Health Forms page. We encourage anyone with medical needs to reach out to discuss your child’s needs.
All completed health forms mentioned above should be uploaded to your child’s account at least 1-week prior to the child’s first day of programming. Participants who have health needs will not be permitted to attend programming without completed Health Form(s) on file. Check our Health Forms page for the necessary forms.
