Themes + Weekly Overview

Bringing Minecraft to Life

Level up in this hands-on Minecraft-themed program! If you ever wanted to get your hands on a Minecraft world, this is your chance. In this weeklong program, campers learn model-making concepts while diving imagination first into the world of Minecraft. Campers use cardboard, paper, and construction supplies to create 2D and 3D biomes and cubes. Creative mode is on in this 3D rendition of Minecraft.

Roll up your sleeves and let your imagination come forth! Note: We do not play Minecraft in this program, but campers can pull from their past gaming experience to inspire their physical creations!

Skills Learned in Minecraft to Life

Design processes such as conceptualizing, rendering in 2D and 3D, experimenting, constructing, and evaluating. Fine motor skills such as proper scissor usage, bending and folding paper, and sketching. Techniques such as 3D paper and cardboard construction, building in scale, drafting, model building and sculpting, circuitry concepts and other embellishing techniques.

Mario Kart Racetrack Design

Drop that controller and pick up your pencil! We're bringing Mario Kart into the ultimate reality–real life! Campers explore how kooky themes like Rainbow Road, Moo Moo Meadows, Sherbet Land, and Bowser’s Castle influence the design of tracks, cars, and racers! Campers learn 2D and 3D constructing, blueprint design, and other fundamentals to let their cars soar!

Campers experiment by exploring cause-and-effect within their designs to achieve new results. By the end of the week, campers will showcase racetracks that Mario (and, of course, Luigi) wishes he could drive! Note: We do not play Mario Kart in this program, but campers can pull from their past gaming experience to inspire their physical creations!
